Prates decides on names for the Petrobras Board list

The new president of Petrobras, Jean Paul Prates, has already defined at least three names to compose the company’s board of directors.

THE CNN learned from interlocutors that Prates articulated with the Ministry of Mines and Energy that the names of Josué Gomes, Eduardo Moreira and Suzana Khan .

Josué Gomes is the current president of Fiesp and has chances of assuming the presidency of the board of the state-owned company. He is fighting a battle with his predecessor, Paulo Skaf, for the direction of the federation.

Previously he had already been quoted to assume a ministry in the Lula government (PT).

Eduardo Moreira is an actor, lecturer and playwright. But, in addition to his artistic career, he works in the economic area, as an investment consultant. A former banker, he worked at the top of Banco Pactual until 2009. He has a degree in engineering and economics.

Engineer Suzana Khan will also be on the MME list for Petrobras. She is a professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and executive coordinator of the Fundo Verde project.

Two other names on the list will be chosen by the headhunter, as required by the process rules. The selection is already underway.

The sixth name is that of Prates himself, who will be on the list of eight nominees to occupy one of the Union’s seats on the council. There are two other names that will also appear on the list but have not yet been revealed.

Today the Union has 6 seats among the 11 counselors. In the past, it already had 8, but it was hampered by the adoption of multiple voting, when minority shareholders ended up managing to expand their seats from 2 to 4. The last chair belongs to a representative of Petrobras workers.
