Huawei Consumer Business Group has announced the completion of pre-orders for the premium Huawei MateBook 14 laptop. Starting today, November 26, this model is available in the corporate online store and from Huawei partners in Russia.
At the heart of the Huawei MateBook 14 is the 7nm AMD Ryzen 5 5500U APU. It combines a six-core AMD Zen 2 CPU, capable of executing up to twelve instruction streams at 2.1-4.0 GHz, and a seven-core AMD Radeon Graphics GPU running at 1800 MHz. To switch to the enhanced performance mode, just press the key combination “Fn + P”. Stable operation is ensured by the Huawei Shark fin cooling system, the design of which includes two heat pipes with an increased cross-section and two fans with ultra-thin S-shaped blades with a thickness of 0.2 mm. According to the manufacturer, the new cooling system features improved efficiency and lower noise levels. The volume of dual-channel DDR4 RAM is 16 GB, solid state drive – 512 GB.
FullView 2160 x 1440 edge-to-edge display with 90% lid area, 185 ppi, 300 nits brightness and 1500: 1 contrast ratio. It covers 100% of the sRGB color space. TÜV Rheinland certifications testify to the low level of harmful blue radiation in the backlight spectrum and the absence of flicker.
In equipping the laptop, the manufacturer allocates a two-way speaker system with two speakers and four microphones. The use of an array of microphones allows voice pickup up to 5 meters away with intelligent echo and noise cancellation.
The laptop runs on a 56Wh battery that lasts 11 hours on a single charge with 1080p video playback. The included 65W AC adapter has a USB-C output, so you can use it to charge not only your laptop but also other compatible devices. Huawei SuperCharge technology recharges the battery for just 15 minutes to a level that lasts for 2.5 hours with office applications, and the reverse charging function allows you to recharge other devices even when the laptop is turned off.
With dimensions of 307.5 x 223.8 x 15.9 mm, the laptop in a metal case with diamond grinding weighs 1.49 kg. In Russia, it is available in the color “space gray” at the recommended retail price of 86,990 rubles.
