As promised, EK has started releasing waterblocks for Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics cards. The first model is presented for the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Founders Edition card.
It is available in two versions: black and silver. In both cases, the cover is made of transparent plastic and serves as a diffuser for the addressable LEDs, and the kit includes an aluminum plate fixed on the back of the board. According to the manufacturer, this plate improves cooling and gives the graphics card a more attractive look. The plate can be bought separately to replace the complete one: silver – black or vice versa.
The base of the water block is made by milling on a CNC machine from a copper plate 12 mm thick and nickel-plated. The transparent cover is enclosed by an aluminum casing that does not come into contact with the coolant. The terminal is made interchangeable. The kit includes a terminal with two G1/4″ ports and a terminal with four G1/4″ ports. This simplifies tubing connections in a specific LSS configuration.
Like other EK waterblocks for graphics cards, the new waterblock is based on the Open Split-Flow scheme, which provides low hydrodynamic resistance, allowing you to use the waterblock even with low power pumps. In addition, such a scheme is equally effective in any direction of flow. The shape of the channels is optimized to eliminate “dead zones” and swirls.
The EK-Quantum Vector FE RTX 3090 Ti D-RGB – Black Special Edition or EK-Quantum Vector FE RTX 3090 Ti D-RGB – Silver Special Edition water block costs 346.9 euros. The EK-Quantum Vector FE RTX 3090 Ti Backplate – Black can be purchased separately for €60.9 and the EK-Quantum Vector FE RTX 3090 Ti Backplate – Silver for €65.9. Pre-orders have already begun. The manufacturer promises to start deliveries in early June.
