Preliminary FAB report should show the dynamics that resulted in the crash of the Voepass plane

THE The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) will release, this Friday (6), a preliminary report with information from the investigation into the aircraft accident that left 62 dead on August 9th, in Vinhedo (SP).

THE CNN found that the document must reveal what happened during the flight . The factors that led to the aircraft crash, however, will be investigated in a second stage.

This first data release is important for aviation safety as it may contain items that are relevant to the future operation of the aircraft model, making it possible to mitigate risks if necessary.

Parallel to the FAB investigation, the Vinhedo Civil Police and the Federal Police are also investigating the case. The investigation opened by the Civil Police is looking into the causes of the plane crash.

Possible criminal liability is also being investigated by the Federal Police. Two reports are considered fundamental to the investigation.

The first report, with a set of photos that help understand the context of the accident and how the aircraft came to rest on the ground, is expected to be ready within 90 days after the accident. This report is being prepared in partnership with the Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Cenipa).

The second document must contain all the examinations and tests carried out at Cenipa, in addition to the analyses of the wreckage, engines and black boxes, which began the week of the accident. Both investigations are under judicial secrecy.

Flight 2283, operated by Voepass, left Cascavel (PR) bound for São Paulo International Airport in Guarulhos. The aircraft crashed in a condominium area.
