Premier Foods said sales rose 6% in the first quarter of 2023 to £197m ($236.3m) and that its year-to-date performance was in line with estimates.
The British food manufacturer said that for the 13 weeks to July 2, food sales rose 6.3% to £141.6m, branded sales rose 4.2% to £169.6m, with overseas sales up 12% on strong performance in Australia.
“The group’s expectations for the 2023 financial year remain unchanged and in the medium term, it expects to continue to deliver further shareholder value through the continued implementation of its five-pillar growth strategy,” the company stressed.
