What is the bubble tea or bubble tea?
It is a drink of Taiwanese origin that, due to its colors, flavors and textures, became popular on social networks. Its main attraction is its tapioca pearls. Although the original recipe is served hot and has tea with milk, currently there are cold versions that are prepared with condensed milk or additional ingredients such as chocolate or strawberries.
Prepare it at home
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of black tea
- 1 tablespoon of condensed milk
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 2 handfuls of tapioca pearls
- 1 1/2 cup of water
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1 cup of crushed ice
Process:
- Cook the tapioca pearls with water and let them boil for 10 minutes.
- Strain them and let them cool. Meanwhile, make the black tea.
- Bring water to a boil and let the black tea sachets steep for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Make a thick syrup using half a cup of water and a half of sugar.
- Stir well until you get the desired consistency.
- In a glass (preferably transparent) add the syrup as a base, then add the tapioca balls, ice, condensed milk and black tea, the latter two in equal parts.
- Shake gently until everything comes together.
