The president of the Legislative Assembly of Pernambuco (Alepe), state deputy Álvaro Porto (PSDB), had to be hospitalized after falling from a horse on Sunday (8), during the 22nd Vaqueiro Mass, in Canhotinho, in the Agreste region of Pernambuco.

The deputy was rescued and is hospitalized at the Hospital Memorial São José, in the central area of ​​Recife, and is undergoing tests.

According to the parliamentarian’s advisors, the deputy’s health condition is not serious. He is expected to be discharged this Tuesday morning (10).

The accident allegedly occurred while the deputy was getting off his horse and ended up getting his foot caught in the stirrup, which caused him to lose his balance.
