The president of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) and of the Federal Justice Council (CJF), Minister Humberto Martins, was diagnosed with Covid-19 this Monday (3).
According to the advice of the Court, the identification was made after routine examinations. Martins is doing well and has no symptoms.
The minister will carry out isolation at home and will continue to dispatch normally, remotely and by telephone.
In July 2020, the then president of the STJ, João Otávio de Noronha, also tested positive for Covid-19. Noronha was asymptomatic and underwent home isolation.
Recently, the governor of Rio de Janeiro, Cláudio Castro (PL), was diagnosed with Covid-19 for the second time. Councilor Eduardo Suplicy (PT), senator Esperidião Amin (PP-SC) and federal deputy Colonel Armando (PSL-SC)) also announced that they had the disease.
The governor of Maranhão, Flávio Dino, also stated, on his social networks, that he is with Covid. According to the politician, he’s fine and continues to dispatch normally.
