According to Itamaraty, hired vehicles are ready to transport the group as soon as the Rafah crossing is opened.

Over the weekend, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) personally entered the negotiations. Called the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas for the president of Israel, Isaac Herzog and also to the president of Egypt, Abdel Fattah al-Sissi .

After diplomatic consultations with several member countries of the UN Security Council, Brazil also prepared a draft resolution on the Israel-Palestine conflict that should be voted on by the collegiate later this Monday afternoon (16).

The text formulated by the Brazilian government and obtained by CNN calls for the “immediate withdrawal of the order”, given by Israel, for Palestinian civilians and United Nations employees to evacuate the north of the Gaza Strip and relocate to the southern region of the territory.
