The singer Preta Gil, 49 , explained to her followers, this Monday (10), the health problem that left her hospitalized for four days and made her cancel shows that were scheduled for last weekend. According to her, the problem was a “pyelonephritis That is a kidney infection in my case in my right kidney”, he stated.
Preta said on social media that she had intense pain last Tuesday (4), which she initially suspected was something muscular. She took painkillers and, despite the doctors’ advice that she go to the hospital, she decided to prioritize her work commitments, until on Thursday night (6) the pain returned even worse.
According to his report, the idea was to catch a plane to São Luís, where he would perform the following day, at Saint John of Thay . “Unfortunately, I couldn’t get on the plane because of so much pain I was feeling, and they started a series of tests at the hospital. At first it was suspected that it was a kidney stone that had been expelled.”
“But with the additional tests, the diagnosis of pyelonephritis was reached, and I had to place a double J, which is a catheter, in the ureter to unblock a fibrosis I have in the ureter on the right side. All of this caused a lot of pain, infection, fever and a 4-day hospitalization”, added the singer, who was discharged this Monday.
Now, Preta must continue treatment at home, with oral antibiotics and rest. Next Thursday (13), if she is feeling well, the singer will be able to resume presenting the program TVZ (Multishow) . The same restrictions should be maintained until next week.
At the end of her video, Preta, who said it was “another scare”, gave instructions to her fans: “drink lots of water, take care of yourself, listen to your body”.
