Preta Gil exposes “intense fatigue” caused by chemotherapy: “Baqueada”

The singer Preta Gil 50, revealed, on Tuesday (15) that have felt fatigue accumulate throughout chemotherapy sessions . The voice of “Signs of Fire” published a series of stories on her Instagram profile talking about the importance of maintaining an exercise routine with her physiotherapist during treatment.

The Bahian woman resumed her chemotherapy routine after announcing, in August, that the cancer had returned and manifested itself in four different parts of her body.

“I managed to react after four days of a lot of prostration, a lot of fatigue, a lot of tiredness, which is absolutely normal. We do chemo and, on average, three days after finishing chemo, very intense fatigue begins. And mine, with each cycle, gets more intense because chemotherapy is cumulative, so we become very exhausted”, said the artist.

“Exercise, especially if you are in good health. Don’t wait until you get sick to start exercising.”

Preta explained that staying active is important to combat the fatigue caused by cancer treatment and also recommended that other people with cancer undergo multidisciplinary monitoring with a professional who looks at their diet and supplementation — such as an endocrinologist, nutritionist or nutritionist — alongside the oncologist.

“Supplementation is extremely important, but it has to be done by an oncologist. There are things that we think are good, but for us they don’t work. It is also good to have monitoring from an endocrine, nutritionist, nutritionist, because this, combined with exercise, improves our state during chemotherapy”, recommended the businesswoman.
