Singer Preta Gil, 48, used social networks to reveal that she will undergo surgery after completing chemotherapy sessions. She was diagnosed with bowel cancer in January of this year.
“I am fine. I still have a good way to go. I’m halfway through chemo. I’m still going to do four more chemotherapy sessions. Then five more weeks of radiotherapy. Then surgery. But I am fine, in my healing process,” she explained.
The singer also told how she is doing the treatment: “I do chemotherapy in the hospital. It’s my choice. I stay there for three days, I come home and stay 12, and I go back to the hospital. My routine is more or less like this.
She said that she is not doing treatments for her hair and that it has already started to fall out.
“He’s losing volume, but I’m not worried about that. Not even a little. I’m letting whatever happens happen and then we’ll see what to do, if I want to apply it, do extensions, lace or a scarf. I’m going to let it go with the flow and see what happens,” she said.
For Preta, what she misses the most is her work routine. “For a hyperactive woman like me, at the height of my productivity, staying at home has been a challenge, but it has also been a learning experience.”
In the videos, the singer commented on the affection she has been receiving from family, friends and fans and that this has been very special in this process.
