Preta Gil shared with her followers a reflective text in which she thanks the people around her for the affection. In the message published early this Friday (26), she told about new experiences she had in São Paulo, where she is treating bowel cancer. She talks about her then-husband Rodrigo Godoy’s betrayal for the first time.
“Today I did two things I had never done before, I rode a quad in Ibirapuera Park and I went bowling, it was very exciting. Seeing the mobilization of the family to see me happy is something indescribable. When I say family, yes, I am talking about relatives and friends. Some are more like children, other brothers and even father and mother, but they are the family that chose me, they chose to love and care for me and I accepted it”, she said.
“This is not an easy thing for me, I was always the one I chose to take care of and today I allow myself to be taken care of! This is one of the greatest lessons of this moment that I am living”, continued Preta.
Finally, the singer mentioned the word betrayal in the message and ended by saying that she is smiling again.
“And this love motivates me to react, even with so much physical and emotional pain I no longer allow myself not to enjoy life. The pain of betrayal’s disappointment cannot paralyze me! Day after day I reconnect with my essence and smile again.”
In April, a video by Rodrigo Godoy, Preta’s ex-husband, circulated on social networks after Leo Dias’ publication. Rodrigo appeared embracing another woman. Since the incident, the singer and he have not appeared together, but the separation has not been confirmed. The two got married in 2015.
