The singer Preta Gil 50, undergoes a new surgery that has expected duration of 18 hours . The information was revealed by the artist’s advisor to CNN who explained that the forecast may vary upwards or downwards. The procedure has to eliminate cancerous tumors and started this Thursday morning (19).
Preta Gil was admitted to a hospital in São Paulo on Wednesday night (18), accompanied by her son, Francisco, 29.
“Here I am, once again faced with a very major surgery but my faith, my will to live is greater than anything ! The feeling now is one of gratitude and a lot of love in my heart. Gratitude for being able to treat myself, for being surrounded by very competent doctors, a love that overflows from my family, my friends and you!”, wrote a post on social media.
Preta Gil’s cancer treatment
On Saturday (14), the celebrity said that her new surgery to remove tumors had been postponed. Previously, the operation was scheduled for Saturday (15), being rescheduled for this Thursday (19).
Preta Gil returned to Brazil after undergoing a oncology consultation in New York, in the United States. In recent days, the artist justified the trip in search of an alternative treatment, since, in Brazilian lands, chemotherapy did not result in the desired effect.
In August, the voice of “Signs of Fire” shared a video sharing the information about the return of cancer in four different places on her body.
