Price of the Dollar in Colombia today, Wednesday, November 20: The Colombian Peso gives ground after three days of gains

He US dollar resurfaces after three days of losses against the Colombian peso. USD/COP hits a daily high of 4,423.71 today after hitting a daily low of 4,391.57.

The USD/COP is currently trading above 4,402.43, gaining 0.18% daily.

Colombia moderates its trade deficit

  • Today Colombia’s trade balance was published, showing a deficit in September of 687.8 million dollars compared to -1,313 million in August.
  • USD/COP traders are now awaiting speeches from several Fed members. Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook (FOMC voting member in 2024) delivers a speech on economic outlook and policy monetary policy of the United States in the Department of Economics at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman (FOMC voting member in 2024) will deliver a speech on the “agency approach to policymaking” at the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Florida. Finally, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston President Susan Collins (2024 FOMC non-voting member) delivers a speech and participates in a conversation at an event hosted by the Ford School in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
