PRICE OF THE PRICE OF THE EUR/JPY: Expand the winning streak four days, with the view in 166.00

  • The EUR/JPY quote in 165.16, rising 0.06% at the beginning of Tuesday, extending a 4 -day rally.
  • The RSI favors buyers, but the lack of momentum points to a waiting mode.
  • A rupture above 165.30 could expose the maximum of November 6 in 166.09, then 167.00.
  • A fall below 165.00 opens the road to support in 164.03 and 163.60.

The EUR/JPY prolongs its rally four consecutive days at the beginning of Tuesday’s Asian session. At the time of writing, the cross torque is exchanged to 165.16, rising 0.06%, and has risen 09% in the week so far.

PRICE OF THE PRICE OF THE EUR/JPY: TECHNICAL PERSPECTIVES

The EUR/JPY is neutral to bullish bias, but so far, it has remained caught within the range of 164.50-165.30 during the last three days, which indicates a lack of conviction between buyers and vendors with respect to the crossed pair. In terms of Momentum, the relative force index (RSI) suggests that buyers are in control but are taking a break, waiting for a new catalyst.

If the EUR/JPY exceeds the maximum of the year to date, this would pave the way for a maximum proof of November 6 in 166.09. Once surpassed, the next stop would be 167.00. On the other hand, if the EUR/JPY falls below the 165.00 mark, look for a Tenkan-Sen test in 164.03, followed by Senkou Span A in 163.60.
