Prince Charles’s appeal to India plunged into pandemic nightmare

Coronavirus “sweeps” India and hospitals are constantly calling for help with medicine and oxygen.

Prince Charles urged the leaders of all countries to help India. He expressed his deep regret over the destructive passage of the coronavirus in India.

The British Asian Trust, founded by the prince in 2007, launches special “Oxygen For India” campaign wanting to raise funds for oxygen concentrators which will be delivered directly to hospitals and patients in India.

The death toll rises to more than 200,000, as a new wave of new infections has pushed the capital’s limits, leaving the healthcare system on the brink of collapse.

The Prince of Wales made a personal donation to the campaign, according to the Athens News Agency. In a statement, he said: “I am deeply saddened by the tragic images we have all seen and by the tragic account of the victims.”

The prince said: “Like many others, I have a great love for her India. I have enjoyed many wonderful moments during my visits to the country. Indian aid and ingenuity have always been very supportive in other countries. “Now is the time for us to help.”
