His royal family Liechtenstein mourns the sudden death of Prince Constantine, who passed away at the age of 51 years old. The family announced his death on Wednesday (06/12) without specifying the cause.
Prince Constantine of Liechtenstein was the youngest son of the reigning prince Hans – Adam II, and seventh in the line of succession to the throne. He leaves behind his wife, Princess Marie and their three children, the 20-year-old prince Moritzthe 18-year-old princess Georgina and the 15-year-old prince Benedict.
Prince Constantine was born in St. Gallen in March 1972 and graduated from Lyceum in Liechtenstein before studying law in Salzburg. He had been general manager and chairman of the board of the Prince Liechtenstein Foundation for 11 years.
In accordance with People, the Liechtenstein Group explained that its companies belong to the “Prince Liechtenstein Foundation”, while the organization issued a statement after Constantine’s death. “His death comes as a terrible shock to all who knew him and the Liechtenstein Group is deeply saddened,” the message said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with his widow, Princess Marie, and their children Moritz, Georgina and Benedict.”

“The government of Liechtenstein has issued a statement saying it is deeply saddened by the death of Prince Constantine. In consultation with the palace, the government has ordered 2 days of national mourning from Wednesday 6 December to today, Friday 8 December 2023. Flags will be flown at half-mast, or if flags cannot be flown, they will be decorated with a mourning ribbon,” Europe’s royal affairs page told X.
