An edit to the photo of the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate Middleton’s Christmas card, appears to have gone wrong. In the photo, taken with the couple’s three children, the youngest, Prince Louis, 5, appears in the photo without his middle finger. The prince’s hand is resting on a chair in which his sister, Princess Charlotte, 8, is sitting. The first-born, Prince George, 10, appears standing on the right, next to his mother.
The photo was published on Saturday (9) on the official accounts of the British royal family on social networks.

Although the royal family did not notice the supposed error, profiles on X (formerly Twitter) pointed out the possible error. “What happened to Louis’ middle finger?” asked a user on the platform. Other profiles, however, indicated that the prince’s finger could simply be poorly positioned, giving the impression that it did not exist in the photo.
Christmas’ cards
King Charles III also released his Christmas card photo last weekend. In the photo, the monarch is wearing a robe made of purple silk velvet embroidered in gold, which was worn by King George VI in 1937, according to the palace.
Queen Camilla is wearing a white robe designed and hand-embroidered by the Royal School of Embroidery, the palace said.
The card is the second of its kind to be released by the palace since the beginning of the king’s reign and the first to feature Chales as king.
