Queen Elizabeth’s 99-year-old husband, Prince Phillips, returned to private hospital after the successful surgery he underwent for a pre-existing heart condition, Buckingham Palace announced on Friday.
The Duke of Edinburgh, who has been hospitalized for more than two weeks, was taken to a London hospital specializing in heart disease on Monday.
Now he’s back at King Edward VII Private Hospital, where he was introduced two weeks ago for treatment for an unspecified, non-COVID-19-related infection.

“The Duke is expected to remain in hospital for ongoing treatment for a number of days,” the palace statement said.
Prince Philip turns 100 next June. He was born in 1921 in Greece, before his family was exiled from the country when he was an infant. His original title was “Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark”, but after his engagement to Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom he was anointed “Duke of Edinburgh”.
