THE prince william visited his wife, Kate Middletonat the hospital, where the Princess of Wales underwent an operation in the abdominal areaa.
Kensington Palace announced that Kate, 42, was admitted to the private London Clinic on Tuesday for a scheduled surgeryconfirming that the operation was a success and that he is expected to remain in hospital for 10-14 days before returning home.
Kate is 'doing well' the BBC reported, citing unnamed sources from the royal palaces. No further details have been given about the operation, but a royal source said it was not cancer.
The heir to the British throne, who canceled his public obligations during Kate's recovery, she was caught on camera leaving the hospital after visiting her, but did not make any statements to the media.
Kensington Palace has said it will only release updates on Kate's health when there is “significant information to share”. He added that, following the recommendation of the doctors, he is unlikely to return to public duties until Easter.
