The presenters Priscilla 28, and Yudi Tamashiro 32, mourned the death of Silvio Santos this Saturday (17). The presenter and businessman died at the age of 93, due to bronchopneumonia after infection with Influenza (H1N1).
Together, Priscilla and Yudi were in charge of Bom Dia & Cia (SBT) in the early 2000s. With a black and white photo of the presenter, Yudi called Silvio “teacher, master and boss” and thanked him for the “scoldings”.
“Thank you for the opportunity to learn and see up close how a great man is built and, above all, how to lead and raise a family. My father, who is also gone, taught me to be true and faithful, and you, Silvio Santos, taught me to be bold and to always believe in what we carry within us,” he said in his caption.
He then says: “Rest in peace and thank you for the scoldings, because today I live everything that you told me I would one day live.” On his social media, he also posted an emotional video and mentioned that Silvio Santos was the “person who believed in my talent.”
Priscilla, in turn, rescued an old video and also recalled that the presenter “gave me an opportunity that changed my life and that of my family forever”.
In addition to remembering the beginning of her career on TV, the singer continued: “He expanded my dream. He saw in me what I didn’t even see. He gave my parents such wise advice that it changed our path. Silvio, I will be eternally grateful. Rest in peace!”
For his life and career, several internet users and celebrities paid tribute this Saturday (17).
