Priscilla Presley disputes the validity of Lisa Marie Presley’s will

Priscilla Presley is challenging the validity of her late daughter Lisa Marie Presley’s will.

In a court case obtained by the CNN , lawyers for Elvis Presley’s widow have filed a petition contesting a 2016 amendment to their daughter’s will. The petition claims that Lisa Marie Presley removed her mother and her former business manager, Barry Siegel, as co-trustees and replaced them with her sons Riley and Benjamin Keough, who died in 2020.

The petition alleges that, among other issues surrounding the amendment, Priscilla did not receive the amendment while her daughter was alive, as required by her Trust, and that the document contains misspellings of Priscilla’s name. The petition also alleges that the amendment was not witnessed or authenticated and questions the authenticity of Lisa Marie’s signature.

“[A assinatura] seems inconsistent with the usual and customary signature of [Lisa Marie Presley]”, state the documents.

THE CNN has reached out to representatives of the Estate of Priscilla Presley and Lisa Marie Presley for comment.

The petition comes just days after Elvis Presley’s only daughter was laid to rest at his former home, Graceland.

Lisa Marie Presley died on January 12 after being hospitalized following an apparent cardiac arrest at her home in Los Angeles. She was 54 years old.

The cause of death is pending further investigation by the Los Angeles County coroner.
