Priscilla Presley confessed that she thinks about Elvis Presley “every day”.
The 78-year-old actress was married to the Rock n’ Roll icon from 1967 to 1973, but remained close to the star until his death in 1977. Priscilla admitted that, although he has not been in her life for decades, the musician remains present in your memory.
“My home has been Beverly Hills for almost 50 years. Obviously, I spend time at Graceland and I can still feel Elvis’ spirit there. To be honest, there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about him. Last week I saw a shirt and I could almost hear myself saying, ‘Elvis would love this. Should I buy it for him?”’, said the businesswoman in an interview with “The Sunday Times”.
Priscilla, whose only daughter with Elvis, Lisa Marie, died in January at age 54, doesn’t believe she could love anyone else in the same way she loved the singer.
“Do I dream about Elvis? Clear. When someone has been such an important part of your life, it’s bound to happen. Living with him was a rollercoaster, but I don’t think I’ll ever find someone I love as much as I loved him,” he confessed.
The star said he believes Elvis, who died aged just 42, would still be making music if he hadn’t left so young, but wonders whether he would have adopted a different style in his songs.
“I get asked a lot what Elvis would have done if he hadn’t been discovered so young. Musically, I think he was very pleased with the way things turned out. He loved knowing that his music meant something to people,” he responded.
