A pilot for a new version of “Prison Break” has been requested by Hulu Disney’s streaming service in the United States, led by Elgin James (“The Outlaws”). The information is from Deadline.
Also according to the publication, the production will be set in the same universe as the original series, but will feature new characters . Further information about the plot and cast has not been released.
“Prison Break” aired in 2005 and has four seasons. The production starring Wentworth Miller and Dominc Purcell is one of the most successful series on TV.
In the plot, Lincoln Burrows was convicted of a crime he did not commit and is placed on death row. His brother, Michael Scofield, then decides to be arrested and devises a plan to help Lincoln escape and prove his innocence.
