The police are looking for two detainees who escaped from the Papuda Penitentiary Complex, in the Federal District, this Sunday morning (3).
The Secretariat for Penitentiary Administration (Seape) reported in a statement that, at 7:30 am, “two detainees escaped from the premises of the Internment and Reeducation Center (CIR)”.
According to Seape, “recapture teams” from the Criminal Police of the DF, with support from the Military and Civil Police, “were immediately notified and are committed to the recapture of the two in custody”.
The Civil Police said that the penal police noticed one of the rods of the closed grid, through which the two inmates fled.
They were identified by Seape as Emerson Santos Carneiro, 32 years old, and Ítalo Custódio da Cruz, 22 years old, from Planaltina and Brazlândia, respectively. Both are semi-open.
“The exact circumstances of the escape are being investigated and any relevant information about the whereabouts of the individuals must be reported immediately to the Criminal Police of the DF (61) 99666-6000, to the Military Police, by telephone 190 or to the Civil Police by 197. complaints can be made anonymously”, concluded the statement from Seape.
