Producer of Marília Mendonça is buried in Salvador

Music producer Henrique Ribeiro, 32, who died in the plane crash that also killed singer Marília Mendonça and three other passengers, was buried this Saturday (6) in Salvador, Bahia.

The producer’s body was buried in the Jardim da Saudade cemetery, in the capital of Bahia. The ceremony was closed to friends and family and also featured tributes for singer Marília Mendonça.

Henrique “Bahia”, as he was known in the music world, was also a producer for the singer Cristiano Araújo, who died in a car accident in 2015. Henrique started working with Marília Mendonça in the same year, as well as other professionals who worked with the singer .

Henrique was born in the capital of Bahia, but for a decade he lived in Goiânia. He was respected by the artistic milieu of Salvador. His relationship with Marília went beyond the role he played as general producer. The two had been in a friendly relationship for over six years.

Fanatical fan of Vitória, Henrique Ribeiro was honored by the football club on social networks. The producer leaves an eight-year-old son.

The accident

The accident that killed Marília Mendonça and four other people happened in Piedade de Caratinga, in Vale do Rio Doce, in western Minas Gerais. The plane crashed at a distance of three kilometers from the airport in Caratinga, the city where the singer would perform.

The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) and the Civil Police of Minas Gerais are investigating the accident.
