Audi has announced the start of production of the Q4 e-tron electric SUV at its Zwickau plant.
The Audi Q4 e-tron electric car concept was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show and the German automaker soon announced plans to go into production. The Q4 e-tron was initially slated to begin production in 2020, but later production was delayed until 2021.

According to the manufacturer itself, this is the first electric SUV assembled by Audi in Germany. It is built on the Volkswagen MEB platform, which is also used for other models of the concern. In particular, for the VW ID.4 electric SUV, which has also already been mastered in production.
The company released photos of the production line, noting that the Q4 e-tron employs 1,400 assembly line employees.

The Audi Q4 e-tron will start shipping this summer.
