The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the government of the Kaliningrad region, the Avtotor plant and the state corporation Rosatom signed an important agreement.

The agreement considers the interaction of companies and government agencies in the field of development, production and implementation of electric transport. In particular, the deadlines have been announced, within which the production of electric vehicles should be launched at the Avtotor Kaliningrad plant.
According to the press services of Avtotor and Rosatom, the production of electric vehicles in Russia using Rener batteries is planned in three stages.
At the beginning of 2024 – the launch of production and the release of a pilot batch, the development of the production of charging stations, until 2025 – the expansion of the model range of manufactured electric vehicles, the localization of its components, until 2030 – an increase in the production of electric vehicles and their localization.
