The sale of energy drinks, such as the Red Bull, will be banned under the age of 16 in England to “improve their physical and mental health” and to combat obesity, the government announced today. About one -third of adolescents aged 13 to 16 years and almost a quarter of children aged 11 to 12 years consume one or more of these drinks each week, according to surveys cited by the Ministry of Health.
