Project PocKit, a Tetris-sized modular Linux mini-computer presented

An engineer named @Solder_Man posted a video on Reddit showing his new design – a modular Linux mini-computer the size of a Tetris. The device, dubbed the PocKit, is built to work permanently. On top of a powerful and versatile “core”, users can attach a huge variety of blocks

The main advantages of PocKit:

  • dual-core STM32 + ESP32 processor;
  • more than 24 blocks, the functions of which are ready to use in seconds;
  • compact and beautiful body;
  • fast application coding;
  • access to Wi-Fi + BLE;
  • instant connection with magnetic snaps;
  • lithium-ion battery;
  • simple repair.

In the video, the developer showed how quickly he assembles a mini-computer on Linux, and then turns it into a handheld device. He also demonstrated on the rear panel a DDR-shaped connector for additional insertion of a Raspberry Pi compute module (with a BCM2837 processor).

Whether the developer will present his device to large companies for mass production is currently unknown. However, active users of the Reddit site already note the convenience, practicality and functionality of PocKit.
