Proof that ‘Monotonia’ is full of references to Shakira and Piqué’s relationship

We liked Shakira’s new hit so much that we not only added it to our play list, but we even carefully look at all the details of the video clip, don’t you? And it is that Monotony It has left us many reflections about love for the couple, but above all about love for ourselves and how much we must prioritize.

However, one of Shakira’s fans was very attentive to all the small and important references that the Colombian added to her video with Ozuna, which show that the hint was very direct for Gerard Piqué.

The Twitter user @erickgil_c He was the one who shared and explained in his account all the messages he found. The first of them appears immediately at the beginning of the clip, because in the background we hear the song Congratulationswhich Shaki “dedicated” to the footballer.

Another of the messages appears when we see the singer walking through the aisles of a supermarket while eating some fried foods that she takes out of a bag whose label reads the word “Devil” (demon), but in another shot the singer appears with another wrapper that has the word “whirl” (whirlwind) and although this may seem like a mistake, we could assume that it is related to how stormy the relationship with the father of her children became, as we remember the images of the couple that were leaked when they argued on a yacht.

Later, in another scene we see that behind Ozuna there are some unique popcorn called “Hell’s a Poppin” (hellzapoppin) and that when translated could mean “hectic and chaotic”. Definitely, this makes us think that the relationship was all chaos.

However, one of the things that has drawn a lot of attention is that the character who fires a missile at Shaki wears a white sweatshirt and a pants gray, clothes that, “coincidentally”, Piqué used in the video of the song I fell in lovein 2017, in which the singer recounts the beginning and evolution of her relationship with the footballer.
