Props are installed in a collapsed building in Minas Gerais

The 16-story building that had to be evacuated after a crash that shook the building, in the city of Montes Claros, in the interior of Minas Gerais, on Monday (8), began installing props to stabilize the building this Wednesday -Friday (10).

According to the Fire Department, the professionals working on installing the supports will work uninterruptedly until the end of the service.

The building has more than one pillar compromised, and one of them has exposed hardware with signs of rupture of some bars.

Firefighters emptied the building's water tank and technical fire reserve after the crash and evacuated. They also did 360-degree isolation around the affected building.

Residents of the building were authorized to remove vehicles located inside the building close to the places where the supports will be placed to stabilize the construction this Tuesday (9). The removal operation was carried out by an employee of the company responsible for the building.

Residents are not permitted to enter the building.
