The 26-year-old journalist and blogger, Roman Protasevic, has been in the international spotlight in recent hours more than any other person on the planet. The young dissident was arrested by the Belarussian authorities yesterday (23/05), after first forcing a Ryanair aircraft to land in Minsk.
Protasevic appeared in a video broadcast on state television country, in which he states that he “cooperates” with the investigating authorities.
Sitting behind a table, looking at the camera, the 26-year-old said he was in good health and admitted he was behind a mass protest rally in Minsk, last year.
“My staff behaves in a completely satisfactory manner and with respect for the law. “I continue to work with researchers,” he said, referring to the video.
In the video, which was released on several channels of the Telegram messaging app, Protasevic also states that he is in a Minsk jail and denies having heart problems, as reported on some social networking sites.
