Protests against Lula’s victory on highways are still active in 17 states

At least 17 Brazilian states still have active demonstrations on highways against the victory of president-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), at dawn on Wednesday (2), according to a survey carried out by the CNN .

Blockages were confirmed in Acre, Amazonas, Bahia, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Pará, Paraná, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Sul, Rondônia, Roraima, Santa Catarina, São Paulo and Tocantins.

The data were obtained from the Federal Highway Police (PRF) in the states. According to the PRF, until 2:30 am this Wednesday, 515 demonstrations had been undone by the PRF. The total number of incidents on federal highways in Brazil was 178 this morning.

Nine states and the Federal District confirmed that they do not have active manifestations, they are: Amapá, Alagoas, Ceará, Maranhão, Pará, Piauí, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte and Sergipe.
