The protests in Russia became the most memorable event for its citizens in January 2021. This is evidenced by the data of a survey conducted in late January – early February by the Russian sociological company Levada Center.
The protests on January 23 and 31 in support of opposition politician Alexei Navalny were remembered more than other events by 45% of Russians.
In second place are the events associated with the coronavirus epidemic (its decline, the beginning of vaccination, the weakening of restrictions), they were remembered by 12%.
In third place is Navalny’s return to Russia, 11%.
The survey was conducted by the personal interview method on January 29 – February 2, 2021, 1616 people aged 18 years and older were interviewed in 137 settlements of Russia. The error does not exceed 3.4%.
