Psalm recounts Block 181: “The boundary between good and bad does not exist”

The Milanese outskirts of Block 181 it’s dirty and tough. The new Sky Original series – the first in-house produced by Sky Studios, is aired every Friday night on Sky Atlantic and available on Now – tip on the underworld, but also on love. Indeed, polyamory. Actor, debut, and creative producer is the rapper Psalm. To complete the cast, Laura Osma (El Chapo), Alessandro Piavani (Blanca, House of Gucci) e Andrea Dodero (Don’t Hate, The Pupil).

The story revolves around the relationship between Bea (Laura Osma), a Latin American girl torn between belonging to her family, Misa, and the desire to change, Mahdi (Andrea Dodero), dark boy from the Block, e Ludo (Alessandro Piavani), a bourgeois with a clean face. The two have opposite histories and lives, but they are like brothers. Then, there is Snake (Psalm) right arm of Lorenzo (Alessandro Tedeschi), friend and ally of the neighborhood boss Rizzo. Thus the Block, amidst unauthorized blocks of flats and dealing squares, is a terrain of clashes, of suspicion. On the one hand there are the boys of the block, who protect the cocaine trafficking, on the other those of the Misa. Between guns and violence, however, there is room for a passionate triangle.

In addition to representing a sort of artistic freedom, something new to experiment ». Negative sides? «The excruciating wait on the set, I wish it were all more theatrical».

Are there any good or bad in Block 181? “Certainly the elements are many, revenge, betrayal, love. It is not clear who is bad “explains Salmo, “You can glimpse it, but you don’t know it.”
