PT says it sees smokescreen and decides not to support CPI for Petrobras

The opposition is attentive to the latest episodes in the relationship between Petrobras and the federal government. PT president Gleisi Hoffman told the anchor of the CNN Daniela Lima who will not support a Petrobras CPI if the commission is set up.

Last Saturday (18), President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) said that allied deputies should ask for the establishment of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry to investigate the current management of Petrobras, after the state-owned company announced a new adjustment in fuel prices.

“Price policy is a government policy, it holds an assembly and reverses it,” said Hoffmann. The PT president adds that Bolsonaro makes all this noise because he wants a speech for the government and also to criminalize, expose the company, and then facilitate its privatization.

Petrobras announced last Friday (17) a new adjustment in fuel prices. Gasoline rose 5.18%, while diesel had a price increase of 14.26%.

The PT president says that she hopes that the National Congress does not lend itself to this again, as Daniela Lima found out.

The understanding of the PT as a whole is that in addition to muddying the debate and removing the crisis a little from the government’s lap, Bolsonaro is also targeting privatization and is looking for a way to not admit that he has failed in the management of the state-owned company, according to the opposition. .

Lula must address this issue from this perspective, by saying that the government is not having the competence, strength and structure to deal with a problem that he himself created, found the anchor of the CNN .
