This Thursday (23), the Ministry of Health starts the public consultation to define the inclusion of children aged 5 to 11 years in the vaccination campaign against Covid-19. The population will be able to give an opinion on the matter on the folder’s website until January 2nd.
Contributions will be presented at a public hearing, scheduled to take place on January 4th.
Contract with Pfizer
Pharmaceutical Pfizer denied the supply of immunizations for children against Covid-19 to the city of Rio de Janeiro. The company said that it already has negotiations for new doses in progress with the Ministry of Health.
In an interview with CNN, the secretary of Health of the capital of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Soranz, stated that the contract for 100 million vaccines by Pfizer with the federal government is for the general public.
Influenza
At least five Brazilian states recorded deaths from the H3N2 variant of the influenza virus, totaling 12 deaths. Rio Grande do Sul confirmed the first death from the flu this Wednesday (22).
