The Public Ministry of the State of São Paulo denounced this Monday (11) Kaique Coutinho do Nascimento, known as “Chip”, who is accused of having killed Rota soldier Samuel Wesley Cosmo, in February this year.
Chip was arrested by the Minas Gerais Military Police on February 14, in Uberlândia.
The following day, he was transferred to São Paulo, escorted by Rota military police officers in the King Air B200 aircraft of the PMESP Aviation Command.
In the MP's complaint, the body requested the conviction of “Chip” for major criminal organization, as “Chip” is identified as a member of the First Command of the Capital, the PCC, in addition to using a firearm and for homicide with five qualifiers, being a base motive, the purpose of ensuring impunity for other crimes, the impossibility of defending the victim, a crime against a public security agent and the use of restricted weapons (the shot was fired with a 9mm pistol).
A body camera installed on Samuel's uniform captured the moment he was hit.
The image shows the police officer on patrol in alleys, when he is surprised by a criminal, who comes out of a door and shoots him.
For the Santos Jury Prosecutor's Office, the murder occurred to ensure impunity for the crimes of drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms committed by the accused, who fled the scene and was only arrested days later.
In the complaint, the prosecutor also requested that the man's temporary detention be converted into preventive detention.
