The Federal Highway Police in Rio de Janeiro arrested three men and apprehended a teenager after a chase on the Washington Luís Highway, at kilometer 123, in Duque de Caxias, on Saturday afternoon (9).
According to the PRF, during a patrol in the Rio de Janeiro direction of the highway, police officers identified a luxury car at high speed and began the chase.
The corporation’s helicopter was also called to provide support during the incident.
The driver in the car, a gray Mercedes Benz, lost control of the vehicle and caused an accident involving two other cars. There is no information about injuries.
In addition to the arrests, the PRF seized a 9mm pistol with a suppressed number, a charger, 11 rounds of ammunition, five cell phones, three watches, two gold chains, a ring and a wallet.
The case was registered in the 59th Police District, in Duque de Caxias.
