“Put on the brakes”: The message on a memorial for traffic police – Made from a pedaled bicycle and a child’s photo

At the end of a road is a small monument made of a trampled bicycle and a child’s photo, warning drivers not to speed so as not to cause a traffic accident. The work is located in Murray, a neighborhood in Salt Lake City, Utah and was created by David Smith, on the occasion of the drivers he sees running every day outside his house and where small children cross. “I had to do something… They’re running like there’s no tomorrow… I couldn’t bear to wait for the fatal moment to put a warning sign in this place,” the man said, according to a report by the New York Post.
