Putin: 95% of Russia's nuclear forces have been modernized

The Russian president Vladimir Putin stated that 95% of his country's strategic nuclear forces have been modernized. At the same time, he pointed out that Air Force just received four new supersonic bombers;capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

Vladimir Putin, not by chance, announced the above on the “Day of the Defenders of the Fatherland”, during which in Russia it is established to honor the army, and while it was preceded (one day earlier) by his flight with a modernized strategic bomber Tu- 160M.

The Russian leader praised soldiers fighting in Ukraine in what he called a special military operation, calling them heroes, fighting for truth and justice.

He then devoted a large part of his speech to the achievements of the military-industrial complex, as he called them.

What was his message? How her nuclear triad of Russia – its strategic land, sea and air nuclear capabilities – have been modernized, are constantly being modernized, and in the right way.

“Incorporating our real combat experience, we will continue to strengthen the Armed Forces in every possible way and with ongoing efforts to rearm and modernize,” he emphasized, as reported by the Athens News Agency.

“Today, the share of modern weapons and equipment in the strategic nuclear forces has already reached 95%, while the naval component of the “nuclear triad” is almost 100%,” he added.
