Putin forbids Russian officials from driving cars that are not made in Russia

THE Vladimir Putin met with the head of the construction business and stated that Russian officials are now only allowed to drive cars produced in Russia.

In accordance with meduza.io, the Russian president stated that “all officials of the country must travel in domestic vehicles. That might mean some people’s cars are more modest than before – and that’s fine.”

“Actually, it’s a good thing. All our wonderful bureaucrats must understand that it is important to pursue the development of domestic brands,” he added further.

Following these statements, the state-owned automaker AvtoVAZ announced that it has the production capacity needed to supply cars to Russia’s officials.
