Putin: He coughed during a meeting and reassured himself that he did not have coronavirus

The Russian president Vladimir Putin, who appeared to be coughing in an online meeting with the permanent members of the Russian Security Council, which was broadcast live, assured the officials that he was well and that he was testing almost daily coronavirus.

“Do not worry, everything is fine. “I am tested almost daily not only for Covid-19 but for all kinds of infections, so all is well,” the Russian leader replied when the Valentina Matvienko, President of the Federation Council (Upper House), expressed her concern for his health.

Putin, who celebrated his 69th birthday last week, appeared to be sitting by himself in front of the screen in the web conference.

“It’s a little cold here,” he added, adding that his cough was due to low temperature of the space it was in, according to Reyters.

Mr Putin then seized the opportunity to urge his colleagues to fully vaccinated against the disease.

It is pointed out that the daily number of deaths associated with Covid-19 in Russia has reached almost historic highs. For the 6th day today, the dead have overtaken them 900.

It is recalled, finally, that the Russian president was forced to put in self-isolation last month, after members of his entourage tested positive for the coronavirus, but the Kremlin then confirmed that he was “perfectly healthy».
