Putin hopes for a “constructive” partnership with Israel’s new prime minister

The Russian president Vladimir Putin congratulated the new Prime Minister of Israel Naftali Bennett today, expressing his desire for a “constructive” cooperation with him.

“I hope that your work as head of government will facilitate a new stage of constructive bilateral cooperation in all areas,” Putin said in a message released by the Kremlin, according to AMPE.

“There is no doubt that this is of vital interest to our peoples.” According to the Russian president, for whom the Russian-Israeli cooperation will strengthen “peace, security and stability in the Middle East”.
