The Russian President Vladimir Putinstated that the Ukraine threatens Europe’s nuclear security by bombing the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant and said that Russia has no military equipment in the area of the station.
Putin said he trusted her International Atomic Energy Agency report (IAEA) who visited the station last week, but, according to APE-MPE, ecriticized the IAEA for not reporting that Ukraine was responsible for the bombing of the region.
In a report made public yesterday, Tuesday, “the IAEA writes that it is necessary to withdraw military equipment from the area of the station. But there is no military equipment in the area of this station” controlled by Russian forces in southern Ukraine, Putin said at the economic forum being held in Vladivostok.
Kyiv and Moscow have blamed each other for military attacks in the station area that have raised fears of a Chernobyl-like nuclear disaster at Europe’s largest nuclear power plant.
