Putin “underlined the importance of preserving unity, national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria, as well as the strengthening of internal political stability,” the Kremlin’s announcement of telephone communication between the two leaders. Putin and Netanyahu also discussed the recent Israeli-Jran military conflict, with the powerful Kremlin man declaring “ready to contribute in every way to seek solution through negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program”.
