Putin ‘open to talks’ on grain deal – Four-a-Four with Erdogan

THE Russian President Vladimir Putin told his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan, who is visiting him in Sochi on the Black Sea, that he was “open to talks” on the grain export deal, from which Moscow withdrew in June.

“I know you intend to raise the issue of the grain agreement. We are open to talks“, Putin said alongside Erdogan.

From his side Erdogan announced upon his arrival in Sochi that he would make a “very important” announcement on grain exports after his meeting with Putin.

“I believe that the message we will send during the press conference that will follow our talks will be very important for the world, especially for the African developing countries,” said the Turkish president arriving at the Sochi meeting.
