Russian President Vladimir Putin met today with Massoud Pezkian’s Iranian counterpart on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Summit in China, the Kremlin said. “Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Massoud Pezkian are launching a bilateral meeting,” the Kremlin told the Telegram, accompanying his message with a video showing the two men exchanging handshakes. The Russian presidency had previously stressed that the meeting would focus on Tehran’s nuclear program.
